What is the difference between CD and DVD duplication and CD
and DVD replication?
The terms are frequently used interchangeably but technically speaking
duplication utilizes pre made CDR and DVDR media that is then "burned" on
duplication machinery.
Duplication is the method generally utilized at lower volumes.
Replication is the method utilized at higher volumes to mass-produce CDROMs and
DVDs and is the method that the majority of music, software, games etc are
produced with.
What is the difference between thermal, digital, and
silk-screen printing on disks?
Thermal printing is generally done on low volume CDRs both from an economic
standpoint and when you need disks produced very quickly.
Digital is relatively new and is generally used at lower volume when you need
full color.
It combines outstanding photographic quality and each disk can be
serialized/personalized.
Silk-screening is generally used with higher volume replication projects.
What does 4/0, 4/K, and 4/4 mean on your printed material
pages?
These are common printing terms. 4/0 means we print 4-color process on 1 side
and the other side is blank. 4/K means we print 4-color process on 1 side and
the other side prints black over white. 4/4 means we print 4-color process both
sides.
How long will my project take?
Depending on the complexity of your project it can take as few as 3-4 days for
simple thermal or digital print jobs. For those projects with printed materials
or special packaging it can take 10- 12 days depending on business conditions
at the time ordered.
We make every effort to complete projects as quickly as possible and are always
available to discuss ways to streamline the process.
